Discrepancy in WT Help for Research Notes Box placement

Where should Research Note Boxes go? There are two different WT Help pages with different info:

Help: Research Note Boxes says they go below project box if one is used. Here is an example using this placement: John Alden

Help: Biographies says they go above the project box if one is used. Here is an example using this placement: Edmund Needham

Which way is correct?

Updated to add examples of profiles with each placement, added SysOps tag

Good discovery, S. See also this G2G question.

Since the Team does not seem to have seen either of the questions, one way to draw their attention would be for S to add the tag  sysops  to this question.

For the record, the consensus is apparently that Help:Biographies is right, and Help: Research Note Boxes needs to be changed.

Thanks, Jim. Good idea. I've added Sysops to the tags.
Thanks S!

If the Help Page for Research Note Boxes is revised to state that it goes above Biography AND Project Boxes, the related Help pages for those items also need to be revised because they include the following:

Put the template above the == Biography == headline and below any categories or Project Boxes without any extra lines or hard returns.

Help:Biographies is correct. The RNB should appear above Project Boxes.

I have edited the RNB page to mirror the intent of Help:Biographies.

Thanks very much, Steve.

Thanks, Steven, but you are only half-done!

As Melanie noted, the RNB help page has the reverse order stated in another section:

Help:Research_Note_Boxes#Using_the_Research_Note_Boxes .

I'll leave you to it! yes

Good point. That page, itself, shows both placements.
This is all cleaned up now, including template directions. Let me know if you spot any other wording that should be corrected.

Thanks again, Steven!

Now that Help page's instructions are "on the same page." wink

I'm hoping the Research Note Boxes will be placed ABOVE Project Boxes. When placed below, the Project Box(es) are "lost" in observation--the eye moves from the orange/green data (Profile managers, latest change, etc.) to the orange Research Note Box.

The Project Boxes seem inferior and lost when placed above the Research Note Box. --Gene

I agree. That would be my preference too.
Agreed.  It is very obvious with the examples to see the difference.  Project Boxes should be the last thing before the Biography line.
Thank you for the star, Susan Laursen! --Gene
I also agree - Research Note Boxes above Project Boxes.

For reference, here's the correct order:

[[Categories]]

{{Research Note Boxes}}

{{Project Boxes}}

== Biography ==

{{Profile Stickers}}

== Research Notes ==

== Sources ==

<references />

See also:

== Acknowledgements ==

The bare minimum is this:

== Biography ==

== Sources ==
<references />

Thanks, Tommy.

Will all the various help pages be updated to reflect the correct order?

UPDATED: Is there something published on WT that shows this is the correct order?

S
Tommy is going by the Help Biographies page.

@S ... The biography page displays the Proper order.  It has been this way, at minimum, for almost 7 years.
