What’s the point of these type of references?

I’m trying to take what I have from ancestry  and put it here.This way it will be free for everyone instead of behind a paywall.

I’ve come across quite a few profiles that have the same type of references as the ones at the bottom of this page.

What’s the point of them? They don’t give any information. Is it just ged file junk and can they be removed?

If you have profiles with a lot of Gedcom information, use the AGC option that is now part of the Wikitree Browser Extension.  Review the options for that section. This was a separate Extension, but has been added to the new one. Help Page for AGC  It will remove the Gedcom information that is not needed, create and combine inline citations from the Gedcom format Span entries and attempt to create a biography.  Always review the Research Notes section which will contain any problems that the app had with the conversion. Some is informational, some needs work to resolve the problems.
