Double EE discrimination in Dutch Reformed church?

Wert and Wart occur more frequently as N. American surnames then Weert and Waert. Open Archives.nl gives the name frequency for specific time periods. I searched for the following Dutch names in the 1500 - 1699 period as potential immigrants to the New Netherland settlement:

Weert     Waert       Woert        Wert      Waart    Wart

Hi Gus, is there a scientific reason behind your question?

Just remember that a lot of persons weren't able to right and that their dialect caused a lot of grammatical errors. My last name is being written as Baars, Bear, Bears, Baers, Beers and Beer. And it origins from about 1650, but we're mostly form Catholic origin.

Nothing scientific, Margreet. I would like more certainty of who's who; are the WikiTree paper trails correct? DNA testing would help greatly, but I have found not a single Van Wert in North America who has taken a Ydna test, except my related Van Wert's centered on Medicine Hat, AB, (which I found by paper trail).
