While working on the ex-United Kingdom categories, I came across
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Knights
. Despite the instructions on the category page, it contains several profiles, most of which are English and should probably be in category
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Knights_Bachelor
.
"Category:Knights" should have the Top Level template added, to prevent further profiles being added.
Is the category needed at all, since all of its sub-categories have alternative parent categories?

We have the categories "Honours and Awards of XXX" where XXX is a geographical area. Each of these places have different Orders of Knighthood. The local version(s) of the Orders of Knighthood can be subcategories of the geographical areas.

Knighthood is found in many European countries, not just England, the ones knighted in England should just be moved to lower category.
