Help with 2 cemeteries that have the same name in the same town

I was trying to untangle the cemeteries in the town of Blumenort, RM Havover, Manitoba, Canada.  There are four similarly named cemeteries; two have the exact same name: Blumenort Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery. They are listed on the Historic Sites of Manitoba page and have four separate find a grave ID's.  The two that are identical... the older cemetery is already on wikitree.  It has a different find a grave name to distinguish it: Blumenort E.M.C. Cemetery.  Could the one on wikitree be changed to that and the one that needs to be created then named "Blumenort Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery" so that people don't get confused when putting categories on their profiles?  I was confused until I drew a diagram with all the ID's on it and studied the photos.

Thanks, Carol-Lynn

I presume these are the 4 you are referring to

Evangelical Mennonite Church of Blumenort Cemetery
Blumenort, Steinbach Census Division, Manitoba, Canada

Original Blumenort Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery
Blumenort, Steinbach Census Division, Manitoba, Canada

Blumenort Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery
Also known as Blumenort EMC Cemetery
Blumenort, Steinbach Census Division, Manitoba, Canada

Blumenort E.M.C. Cemetery
Blumenort, Steinbach Census Division, Manitoba, Canada

Problem is I can't see any of those under Steinbach or Blumenort. Can you link the existing category please?

In Manitoba they are linked under their RM or Municipality Districts.  In this case it is Hanover, Manitoba Cemeteries.   Hanover, Manitoba Cemeteries

Thank you for replying, I hope you can help

It would appear that someone has already made the changes but not bothered to say so here. If there is anything else needs doing perhaps you could contact them?

I know it's confusing, let me try to explain differently...   I myself actually made 2 of the categories needed before I posted the question.  There needs to be 4 cemeteries and there are only 3.

The one missing has find a grave category # 2197230 and the name should be Blumenort Evangelical Mennnonite Cemetery (But... that name is already taken by the one with find a grave profile #2619926 already on wikitree; On find a grave, that cemetery is named differently: "Blumenort E.M.C. Cemetery").

There are already half a dozen profiles on the cemetery report in the wrong category because people go by the name on the find a grave citation, not the cemetery find a grave #.

Thanks, Carol-Lynn

OK, I will look at it again later tonight.

Look at this category page under the W for Wicker. I added the street name in parentheses) to the cemetery category name. That's how I solved it. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Lee_County%2C_North_Carolina%2C_Cemeteries

That's a great idea to keep in mind for future use, I will keep that in mind.

I have added the missing one and basically swapped them round. I assume that all the profiles (11) in what is now Blumenort Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery should actually be in Blumenort E.M.C. Cemetery so I will leave you to transfer those.

If you think Paul Schmehl's suggestion, in this case adding (Plett Road) to Blumenort E.M.C. Cemetery then let me know and I will create a rename. This would best be done after the 11 profiles have been transferred.

I have done those 11 transfers so let me know about the rename if you think it would be helpful.
Thank you, thank you!!!!

You did a terrific job sorting that out!  I think it's okay without the street names because the names now match the find a grave entries making it easier to choose the right cemetery.  I will check the names before I add more people as I think a couple were on the cemetery report as misplaced.

I am glad we could work together to solve this,

Thanks again, Carol-Lynn
