I am searching for the correct parents of Pvt. William Beavers, b. abt. 1743, possibly in NJ.  Abt. 1763 in NJ, he married Mary Wyckoff (nfi.).  William served in the American Revolution, and d. Oct. 1781 in SC.  The NSSAR shows his burial place as Providence Baptist Churchyard in Newman, GA.

The Beavers were an English, not German family.  Per an article I found in the AL state archives, William may have had brothers, and their father may have been a John Beavers.  My paternal great-grandmother was Virginia Melissa "Ginnie" Beavers (5 Apr. 1902-23 Sept. 1997), daughter of Howard Ellsworth Beavers (4 Nov. 1867-7 Feb. 1949) and Frances Melvina "Fanny" Auvil (10 Aug. 1881-12 Dec. 1979) of St. George, WV.
