Help with meaning of document

On this profile, I'm trying to decipher the words and the meaning of the document I have an image of in the research note.  I translated what I thought it said above it. I'm not sure what some of it means.  Thanks  (I just started working on this profile, so still looks rough)

Your transcription looks on point to me.  He was tried and found guilty of neglect of duty, and his punishment was no whisky for a week.

"Discharged for minority" apparently means he was underage, according to this thread on Civil War Talk: https://civilwartalk.com/threads/my-first-question-discharged-for-reason-of-minority.127774/

No whiskey for a week!!!! What a punishment.

Minority? He was 19 when he enlisted. That was considered a minority?

Thanks for your help
You would have to research the age of majority in 1914/15 for that branch of the military and that location (could be different) and you don't know his actual birthdate (at least you haven't listed it on his profile...)

Possibly, they only used that as an excuse to remove an otherwise un-desirable person..
