How can I remove "ghost" mentions of "private mother" from a profile?

A very recent merge involved Claunch-66. That man had 6 children. While all the children now show no known mother, correctly, four of the six profiles (Claunch- 17, 22, 25 and 24) still have a "private mother" embedded somewhere. The other two children show "add mother", correctly. The problem is that the "private mother" status causes some of the children to be flagged as "half" siblings. I would like to have all 6 profiles show "add mother" as we have no idea who she was.

Only those on the trusted List of the private profile can remove the children.

I just set the mother's privacy level to Open, which is required for profiles with birthdates more than 150 years ago.

I don't want to remove the children. I want them NOT to show as half siblings. Right now, none of the children are shown with mothers. But when you go to the edit pages, some have "private mother" and some have "add mother" - the latter being what we need. We have no idea where the "private mother" came from and there are no associated profiles for such???
