Will for Benjamin Dickson Dickson-547

I am wanting to connect Benjamin Dickson (Dickson-547) with what I believe is another son, John William Dickson (Dickson-7332) which will then connect further profiles. John William is not included as a son on FamilySearch, but there are no definite sources, only circumstantial evidence, for any of the children listed. And some data there are suspect.

I have sourced these profiles with everything that I can find. But I cannot find a will for Benjamin. He may have made it in Virginia before he left for Missouri. Help from people more familiar with these American records would be appreciated.

May not be him, but in the 1800's range, early, there's a will for Benjamin Dickson in Halifax, Virginia that mentions a wife Elizabeth (and a cousin - looks like maybe Joel but really hard to read for sure) and appointing John Light and a son, Thomas Dickson.  Ancestry sharing link for the record is here if you can get it:

Actual will is on about p. 145 of 569 - have not checked family search for record.  There are some others listed but they are earlier or much later that I'm finding.

Thank you for looking for me. Unfortunately, that will is for his grandfather, also Benjamin Dickson - Dickson-1164, whose second wife was Elizabeth and son was Joel. All the people in that will are sorted out. It was very useful for making the connections.
Happy to try, hopefully someone will come up with one for him.   I couldn't find anything else close in the time period and nothing in Missouri.
Thanks again. I am sure as I can be that I have found the children. Just hoping that I can confirm through DNA matches, but it is many generations back, so rather hit and miss.
More wills and other records are being indexed as people go through them so maybe in time something for him will show (if I'm not just missing it already).  I spent a good part of the day looking through wills for some of my brick walls and finding nothing either.  I just tried looking through Benjamin's wife Elizabeth.  Sometimes another route helps.  Nothing found leading to Benjamin but Elizabeth's father looks to be Wagstaff-35 on Wiki.  Do you think this would be correct? I ask because there are slave listings in his will we'd able to connect in USBH.

I usually get a distant cousin to find these wills, but she is indisposed for some weeks. I do New Zealand, Australia or UK profiles as that's where my ancestors were. But we have all these DNA matches to this family which must go back to the 1600s, so I need to get the connections exact to prove the DNA links.

All these people had slaves. My cousin has already used slaves in wills to prove one connection. If anyone wants to come into these profiles and use them, that would be great. I don't want to get involved as I have enough to do with my Scottish and Ulster Scots family.
And that is the will I have used in my profile for Elizabeth Wagstaff Dickson who I have added.
That is likely to be Elizabeth's father but the profile has no biography at all - not a single word. So how can you tell!!
Thanks, that helps,  It's very hard with so many profiles I can't tell without looking into him more they have a death date of 1836 on here but the probate date on that will is 1829. That said, I saw at least one mistake on the Ancestry transcription of persons in the will and the probate date might night be right just attached to the will date. I'll look into the slaves more for USBH.

You're doing an amazing job, that's a huge task to get back that far I hope you can make those needed connections.
