Constance Russell (Winant) Williams (1924 - 1978)

Constance was born in 1924. She was the daughter of Notable New Hampshire Gov. John Gilbert Winant and Constance Russell. She passed away in 1978.

We need collaboration on her birth year was it 1921 or 1924. Apparently the memorial on FindAGrave which is attached to her and the family seems to show 1924 however is it really her grave or someone else’s? The gravestone is inscribed with the name Constance W  Williams Jan 3, 1924 - April 7, 1978

Her death certificate shows that the Constance Williams who died in 1978 in Texas is the daughter of John Gilbert Winant and Constance Russell:

The certificate also states that she was buried at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, which is where the FindAGrave memorial is. 1921 is listed as her birth year on the certificate and other sources, so it seems likely that the date engraved on the marker is an error. As for the middle initial "W.", it probably stands for her maiden name Winant.

She does seem to have been married to Carlos de Velando of Lima, Peru, but must have been divorced or widowed at some point. Her mother's 1953 marriage announcement lists her as Mrs. Carlos W. DeVelando and mentions her son Carlos De Velando.
