I would like to know who the parents Of Mary Gray were

Mary Gray who married Thomas Wilson on 26 April 1912 in Inveresk Scotland died 25 Feb 1927.  On her Marriage record she states that her parents were George Gray and Mary Rennie. It seems to be impossible to be sure who George Gray and Mary Rennie were. I can find no marriage record. There are a great many George Grays in a lot of records but it is difficult to be SURE of the right one who was the father of Mary Gray. I think the Gray family came from Monquhitter but is this the right Gray family.  I want some more solid evidence than what I have come up with so far.  Thank you..

You've not given much information. Have you tried looking up the family on censuses? I have deduced Mary's birth year by looking up the death record. If she was one of her parents' younger children, they could have married before statutory records. There is a death record for a Mary Rennie / Gray mmn McCarter in St Giles in 1884 which would fit this scenario and which would potentially mean that Mary's father re-married.
