     Ancestry.com, which I know you use, has a marriage record for Rachel Shook and Torry Wooding (sic) on January 29, 1885, in Jackson County, North Carolina.

     There is also a family tree on ancestry.com for that Rachel Shook, with her as the wife of Thomas Avery Woodring, and the daughter of Daniel Shook and Sarah Guntner.  She has a brother James Sebastian Shook, who seems to be the uncle in the census.

It reflects a marriage date with Thomas in 1899, but I think that's an error, given the listed children (some with death certificates that name the parents).
