Why does WikiTree deny a merge request after it was accepted by the other party.

Do you have a link  to the other profile?
It would help if we can see both profiles.
There is NO merge listed on the profile you have linked to.
Is the other profile private?

Or that it has been done already.  OOPS!! LOL

Sooo  both profiles are my sister.  There was one already on here and when she created her account, she created one and thus ended up with 2.  We were trying to merge the 2 into one.  We finally figured it out.  I think we had to both be trusted persons on both accounts.
