I found a record for a Charlie K. Bolt, who was mustered into the US Navy on July 31, 1941, age 36.  (NB:1941).  Serial number 261-59-05 apparently--hard to read.  He was in Naval Air; I could not decipher his job.  There are three records for this Charlie K. Bolt.  The second (https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/22804331:1143?_phsrc=WlE32&._phstart=successS . ource&gsfn=Charles+Kelton&gsln=Bolt&ml_rpos=7&queryId=6595e18f04ce7fdfe28a2d9cb9e2ca16) gives his age and I believe indicates his grade is AW2c. (Aviation Weapons rating 2nd class?) Again, hard to read.  You could get his draft card if you knew where he lived in 1940. As you probably know, most WWII service records were destroyed in a fire in 1973, and there is no ready replacement for those records.

I didn’t know anything about his service he is my grandfather’s first cousin, I was just going to fix his profile up. Out of respect I don’t believe he ever married and probably any information about him. Is going to be hard to track down asking other family members.
