Cannot save profile because it says it has itself as a father [closed]

Question

I added full citations of the sources on John V. Cashin's profile.  When the draft saved, it said profile cannot have itself as a father.  It doesn't.  Father is Cashin-197.  John is Cashin-196.

looks like it, we should wait until this is resolved before doing more work.

I think it's happened in the last few minutes -- at least from the questions on G2G.  In good news, after it's fixed, you will probably be able to use your draft and it will have your changes.

I had exactly the same feeling -- what am I doing wrong?  You should definitely make a note of the three profiles you were working so that you can go back and use the draft that was saved on each one.  When you get that "there's a previous draft" screen -- note that there's wording on the right of the question that will allow you to compare.  I missed that a good number of times at first.

Me too - I am trying to add Swete-43 as father to Swete-42 when I get the error (Swete-43) cannot have itself as a father.

Rob, I don't know if the draft will help you since you're trying to add someone.  Out of caution, make some notes so if you have to go back and re-create, it won't be like starting over. Draft help link is on my original question in the comments.

I’m sure by now Wikitree is aware of problem. I posted question about the problem too. It is clearly on their end. Hope they can resolve it.
