Hetfield-5's filiation on Wikitree is incorrect

Question

Notable James Hetfield's father was one Virgil Greeley Hetfield. On Wikitree, Virgil's father is attached as a Virgil Hatfield, which is incorrect. We know from his social security application that his parents were William Henry Garska and Violet Hetfield, who married after his birth.

Both profiles of both Virgils are locked so I cannot edit them. I tried several times to contact the profile managers of both profiles, to no response. That was back in December. I continued trying to contact them several times since then. I submitted Trusted List requests, to no response. I filed an Unresponsive Profile Manager request, with no response. 

Even more confusingly, Hetfield-5 is Virgil L. Hetfield, but James Hetfield's father was named Virgil Greeley Hetfield, so for all I know this profile is the wrong man altogether. In which case, Hetfield-5 should be disconnected from Hetfield-4 so a correct profile for Virgil Greeley can be created and attached.

Very strange... can't find Virgil or Violet anywhere in 1930 or 1940.  William Gurska is married to someone else in both censuses.

Go to the profile and file an Unresponsive Profile Manager request. Depending on dates - they may be able to open the profile for you and then you can edit it. It has worked for me.

In the profile click Genealogy and Tools then scroll all the way to the bottom. Unresponsive Profile Manager or Open Profile Request can be submitted.

And I have to add that I have been having the SAME problem, which I noted on the  Largest Unconnected Branches webpage. I have been trying to get a profile opened since October and sent in THREE unresponsive profile manager requests so far, and STILL no results. In my last request, I asked wikitree admin to please provide an answer if they won't open the profile ... but still no response from them.

I have never had a problem with it. I wonder if they have a backlog of requests. Even when they wouldn’t open one because of the dates they replied with explanation.  I am sorry to hear this. It always took a while but like a month - not six months. Frustrating!!

I have also used it for a few years without problems ... until recently.  October is when I first contacted PM, so it’s been less time with admin.

My computer died last night so it will be a while before I can be active again :(

I just opened the profile for Virgil Hetfield, there is no PM, the profile is orphaned.
