Thank you for your work on the Etter line.  There have been several duplicates and any improvement to profiles is very welcome.  Thank you so much

Dieter I had fun 'talking' with you in Discord while we were both up 'before the crack of dawn' during the July Connect-A-Thon. From our conversation it appeared that our feline buddy's were equally alert and ready...When I was a child my grandparents always took me to the traveling circus and I marveled at the lion tamers with their 'whip-and-chair' routine and their ability to keep those very large ferocious beasties under control. Now, as an adult, I marvel that I can't locate a suitable method of persuasion to keep my three small-by-comparison beasties from walking all over my computer keyboard when I'm busy...Perhaps the whip-and-chair routine is needed?  cheeky

As always I'm very flattered when someone gives thanks...Lord only knows I give thanks almost every day and that appreciation includes you folks in addition to the WikiTree application and it's forum of family history information. The Etter line is interesting; I'm still researching Lunenburg records and if I come across further primary sourced information I'll post it.

I am related to Benjamin Etter through his gggrandfather Johannes through his son Gerhardt.

This is a somewhat recent discovery for me as I connect through maternal lines from Lemuel Sells - my 2ggrandfather's mother Sarah Ann Brown. Her mother was Christina Etter, daughter of Daniel, who is a son of Gerhardt. Took me some time to get beyond Brown.

The Sells, Browns and Etters traveled from Wythe, Virginia and settled White River, Johnson, indiana by 1830.

Thank you again for your help. I am enjoying learning of this line, back to Switzerland. I connected with a distant cousin who helped to steer me in the right direction after I tried to 'correct' an entry for a distant Etter on Find a Grave. It is good to challenge then learn from it.
