D. Landry is my birth mother. My birth info: [REDACTED]. The original certificate listed her address as [REDACTED]. Her birthplace is listed as Massachusetts. Her age is listed as [REDACTED]. I don't know what is actually true or not because I am having a hard time finding anything on her. All help is greatly appreciated.

The birth father is not listed.

Tom, I am sorry to to have to tell you that I redacted your post because WikiTree does not allow discussions of living persons in this PUBLIC forum. Your birth mother is likely to be living.

The WikiTree "Adoption Angels" Project no longer takes on new research efforts, but it provides advice on how to find family like yours. One important step for you is to do autosomal DNA testing. This is a powerful tool for finding biological relatives.
I may have misspoken before. The Adoption Angels Project still has a form for people to request their assistance, at https://www.wikitree.com/contact/adoption/

However, it is also true that they have assembled advice for folks like you to consult when no "Adoption Angels" are available. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Adoption_Angels:_Resources_for_Adoptees. The section about DNA should be of particular benefit to you, since you have obtained your birth certificate, but the name and address there have not been sufficient (yet) to locate your mother.

Good luck!

Landry is an Acadian name, so a lot of them ended up in Louisiana. The Neville Brothers' mother was a Landry.

Here is one born in Maine:

Hi,

My grandmother was a Landry.  She was born in Massachusetts.  Some of my 'cousins' who are Landrys are also still in Massachusetts.    There is some connection to Maine.  Let me know if I can help.  My grandmother was adopted after the death of her mother and her siblings were also adopted by extended family.  Let me know if I can help.

My grandmother was also a Landry born in Mass and a lot of our family came to the US from Canada through Maine.
