How do I add my WikiTree ID to my GedMatch Acct.

On GedMatch, my profile says, "No WikiTree link for this kit".

How do I link my WikiTree ID to my GedMatch account?

Can I have both an uploaded Gedcom file and a WikiTree link at the same time?

When you add your GEDMatch ID to your test details on WikiTree it should connect them. Links from GEDmatch to WikiTree.

I am not sure how it works if you have a tree already attached to a GEDCOM tree on GEDMatch.

Congrats, on your featured webinar: Using the Tools at GEDmatch. That would be very helpful for our WikiTree members. Thank you, for creating that video!

Thanks.   Actually it is the other Kitty Cooper that made the video.  She is Kitty Munson Cooper.  I am Kitty Cooper Smith. laugh

I have a similar question.  I can't figure out how to view my own profile on GEDmatch, so I can't tell whether my Wikitree profile is linked from my kit.  I can't find an option to add it or remove it, and I can't view it, so how do I find out?  I'm going to contact GEDMatch and ask if someone can't tell me here.  Thanks!

On the GEDmatch home page, below "Your DNA Resources" click on the pencil which is to the far right of your kit number to get to "Kit Profile Management". Scroll to near the bottom and it with say something like "WikiTree Link IS publicly available" or  "No WikiTree link for this kit".  Another way would be to click on the kit number of your highest match and find yourself in their match list.

Click on your GEDmatch ID in WikiTree.

You will get a list of your DNA matches at GEDmatch with your closest match at the top.

Click on the GEDmatch ID of your closest match.  In that new list you should find your own profile.
Thank you for this information Samantha! I had been trying to work this out too.
