Loyalist Day

Question

Today is Loyalist Day in New Brunswick which got me thinking about Loyalist ancestors.  I have a question specifically about Sarah Hyatt Embree.

The daughter of the same name in this family does not match this person.  She has a different birthdate and husband.  

I've done no significant research on this branch but I doubt this is untilled soil.  

Are there any opinions out there?  (edited for typo correction)

Happy Loyalist Day.

The Sarah in the FamilySearch record for Sarah is a mess. The husband comes from a gravestone in New York that doesn't list parents. The dates also don't match what others have found. The UELAC has a record for her husband at https://uelac.ca/loyalist-directory/detail/?wpda_search_column_id=2585 and it does have some info on her along with sources.

I haven't done any research on this family but the Hyatt, Underhill and Embree names have shown up while researching other Loyalists from Westchester County. I hope someone can find more info.

Thanks again Doug.  I've added the link you gave to Samuel Embree's page.  It reminded me that there were 2 Samuel Embree/Sarah Hyatt marriages in 1771. Sarah Underhill Hyatt married Samuel's uncle of the same name, 5 months after the younger couple married. Just one more thing to confuse people.

I should mention that the new UEL database has stable links so it won't break next week. They used to break every time a new Loyalist was added.
