We have several "functional" projects (as opposed to topical or regional projects) where members devote time to helping members find their way around and make sure our research stays safe and sound.

Greeters make sure new members feel welcome. They make sure everyone who joins WikiTree has what they need to get started. This is a truly hospitable and welcoming group of members, and they would love for you to join them. If you can spare an hour a week, visit their G2G welcome post to volunteer!
Rangers dedicate their weekly time slots to watch for "forest fires." In other words, they watch for problems that can seriously damage the hard work of our volunteers. This is another project where you need as little as an hour each week to help out. Mentors are the "coaches" of WikiTree. Collaborative genealogy isn't always easy, so Mentors are here to help guide members who would like a little one-on-one help. They also help members resolve conflicts and misunderstandings. It takes a special person to be a mentor. If you have a knack for finding solutions to difficult situations and enjoy teaching others, the Mentor Project could be a good fit for you. Their G2G welcome post will give you more information.
