My great grandmother was Eliza Mulvany ( nee Newman). She was born in England. Her father was Nicholas Newman. She died in Dublin in May 1914.  Her death notice referred to her being the niece of Cardinal John Henry Newman.  However Cardinal Newman did not have a brother called Nicholas.  Could they have been cousins?
