Gilbert Gottfried has died

He was a funny comedian, I remember watching him.

I'm trying to get his parents straightened out, but the first one I put there seems "iffy". He may need a bit more research to determine the correct parents. Wikipedia says "Max Gottfried and Lillian Zimmerman". This Max has a wife of Lillian Wolfsen, but it's conceivable they divorced, he remarried, etc. - but there's no indication of this with this Max. So the question is, is he the wrong Max, or the right Max and needs the right wife?

I also found the Wikipedia for Gilbert's sister Arlene (born 1957), and she does not match well with the daughter born to Max Gottfried and Lillian Wolfsen who had an Arlene born in 1937.

So in either case, initial indications are not good that this is the correct match. It may, however, be a potential match through one of their cousins, as the proper Max might not have been born until 1930-1937-ish. That could easily be one in this family, so the research is not wasted. We'll see how this all comes out.

It could be her first husband died and either Zimmerman or Wolfsen is the actual maiden name, the other is her first husband.  1937 vs. 1957 is an easy mistake when trying to read handwriting.

My inclination is that you got the right parents, but her history needs a bit more figuring out.
