RootsMagic 8 not working with FamilySearch anymore?

Does anyone else use RootsMagic 8 with FamilySearch? I am able to sign in on the FamilySearch site just fine (and have even reset my password to be sure), but I cannot connect RootsMagic to FamilySearch. I talked to RM support, but they want $300 to diagnose the problem. I cannot afford that! RM has already locked me out of my FS account twice because it kept trying to connect with a bad password in the background.

I know this isn't a Wikitree question, but was hoping someone here might have had a similar situation and know a resolution.

At the FHC where I volunteer the version of RootsMagic they have loaded is RootsMagic 7.

Hi Alicia,

I went into RootsMagic 8 today and it said I needed to enable hints from FamilySearch by going into my Settings then going to WebHints settings and enter in my username and password.

Does your password have a special character in it? I think I had trouble with RootsMagic a few years ago and had to change my FS password to exclude the special character (I don't remember which character it was).
