"Settlers by the Long Grey Trail by Harrison, J. Houston" is an excellent book and includes Patrick 'Henry' McAtee's marriage to Jane Harrison cited in John Harrison's will. However, no parents or children of Patrick 'Henry' McAtee are included.

So this question still needs to be answered by a kind researcher please.

Because finding the answer to who the parents of Patrick Henry McAtee were, was not going to be easy, I have made researching him the focus of my research.

Much has been learned about Patrick Henry McAtee (b. 1775 or 1776); living in Fairfax County, VA as an older teen; moved to Harrisonburg, VA where he married Jane Harrison; and I found original source proofs for a more accurate date of death as bef. Feb 6, 1832, as well as other information that makes the story of his life more clear.

I started the McAtee DNA Project to help not only my brick wall ancestors, but for others who have similar issues for their McAtee lines.

Please consider joining the project at Family Tree DNA if you descend from a McAtee ancestor. YDNA and atDNA testing accepted into the project.

Thank you!
