I just wanna brag for a minute!

The WikiTree 1950 Census Indexers Group] have Indexed 3819 Names in the 1950 Census!

This total is based on 8 of the 31 members reporting their numbers. 16 members are indexing but not keeping count.

Everyone is doing great and I’m proud of us all.

I've made a few corrections, but they don't show. Am I doing something wrong? How do I "keep count?"
It depends on which server you are using. Archives doesn’t have a counter. Family has theirs divided in batches of 20, 30, 50 and unlimited.
Thanks Pam, I'll switch to Family,  I was using archive.
Do you want me to add you to the group page? We’d be glad to have ya.
I think my name shows on the page. Using Archives I know I corrected my Grandfather's name and my Aunt's name, added my grandmother's middle name, corrected my Great Aunt's name. My Mother and Father were correctly listed.
Looks link 12 points to me!
Hi Pam, I see our stats are updated but my count should be 986 as of today.
Please leave your numbers on the group page and I collect them before I do the midnight counts. Thanks!
Pam I am sorry, but I don't see a way to do this, my name within group is not highlighted and I don't know how to access to do an update. I don't see a way to change it on the group page. Please advise. Thank you!
I just accepted you to the spreadsheet. If you need any help just let me me know.

Thank you! I can say that for me it's a combo effort. As I index a page I am adding or updating the person on Wikitree and saving the other family members for the thin. So I'm adding approximately 10 people per page with 20 to be added soon!

Dear Pam,

Just so you know, I have transcribed over 500 names.  Then I got distracted, but hope to be back on it today.  I'm doing it on the US National Archives site.

Has FamilySearch begun their indexing yet?  Just curious....  -NGP

They kinda.sorta have but it’s chopped up and limited to Nevada and Oregon so far. I will add your 500 to the team page! Great Work!

I have been reviewing names on FamilySearch, have not been keeping track of how many though. Is there a tool to find how many names I have indexed for the project? Have corrected some names on National Archives version, as there were some relatives of mine who were indexed incorrectly.

We have been keeping track on a spreadsheet. It’s really easy with Familysearch as they let you decide how you do at a time. I just keep both the spreadsheet and FS open and do batches of 50.
I have been doing 20 at a time, thanks for the tip!
You are very welcome!
On Family search, https://www.familysearch.org/getinvolved/my-opportunities will give you a count at the bottom under Review Names.
Thanks Linda.

Like Nannette I have been indexing names on the National Archives website.  I can remember doing over 360 but those are ones I did in a straight line in an ED.  I did some in spots here and there on ED's in other states that had my family in them.

Are you wanting to join the project?
I said you could add me to it a long time ago but for some reason you did not see the post or it did not show up.  I never went back and checked but I have helped with the transcriptions for years.  It is something I can do when I have a few extra minutes so it works out good for me.
I'm sorry that you didn't get added before but have added you and your total to the team page. You can update your total on there by leaving a message or you can message me or I can add you to the team spreadsheets. Thanks for joining!
Thanks Pam, every little bit of indexing we do helps someone find their loved ones.
