Help with a Succession Box please

Question

I'm working on a profile for General John Shalikashvili and tried following the example for a succession box. However, it will not display properly. Anyone willing to advise me? or fix it? Thank you so very much!

For reference - I often look at how others have used a template. On every template page is a link to "Pages using the template". You can look at edit view of any Open profile to see the coding used to achieve what's displayed on the profile.
