How long after an adoptee fills out a firm for an Adoption Angels will they be contacted

HOW LONG DOES IT USUALLY TAKE TO BE CONTACTED BY AN ADOPTION ANGEL TO HELP IN YOUR ADOPTION BIRTH FAMILY SEARCH AFTER YOU FILL OUT YOUR REQUEST FORM?

Any information that you can share on the process and what to expect is welcomed and gratefully appreciated!

Hi Lisa, You should have gotten a preliminary welcome email from Adoption Angels (from me) a few days ago. If you don't see it, please check your spam folder. Our Mentor will be reaching out to you soon to get you set up for your search.

This will depend entirely on who is available and the country in which you need help. WikiTree people are all volunteers and are world-wide.

Unfortunately, COVID provided challenges to all and available Angels became few in the USA since early 2020.  It took almost 9 months for us to be contacted by an Angel.  However, we continued doing all our own homework as much as possible, so when we were contacted, WOW, things just came together quickly.  Keep doing what you can, get the DNA tests and things recommended by Wikitree advisors, then be ready.  I'm sure the length of time is now much less as Angels return back into to the WIkitree program.

Excellent advice, Kim, and yes, our wait time has been cut down quite a bit in the past couple of months and we're hoping to keep cutting it to shorter wait times.
