Can you fix Prentice merges?

This should be the profile of [[Prentice-494|Mercy (Prentice) Beebe]].  As Mercy's LNAB was (Prentice) not Prentiss.  Also, someone needs to fix the following:  On her profile [[Prentice-494|Mercy (Prentice) Beebe]] she is listed as the Sister of Mercy (Prentiss) Prentice this is not so.  This Mercy (Prentice) Beebe married [[Beebe-414|William Beebe]], Sr.  Hopefully, I have not just confused you.

"Brother" or "sister" just means "shares a parent profile with", so duplicates often appear as siblings before they're merged.  You'll see that all over WikiTree.

You only have to go ahead and do the merge.  You'll be offered the option to pick the right surname in the process.

Changing the name first (or afterwards) is considered less desirable for a technical reason.

Barbara, wording RJ's answer another way, the way we fix the problem is to merge the profile with the incorrect spelling into the profile with the correct spelling. Approving and completing the merge will do that.

Thanks everone you are all a great bunch.  I did merge the two together and was going to make the final profile the Mercy (Prentice) Beebe with William Beebe Sr as her husband.  However, it would not let me finish the merge.  It said it had to be approved by someone.  So, this morning I put a post on the profile page of Mercy (Prentiss) Prentice.  I was just concerned that the final profile would not end up being Mercy (Prentice-494) Beebe and cleaned up with the removal of Mercy (Prentiss) Prentice as her sister because she is not.  Just wanted to try to clear this up cause, I never ran across one like this before.
