Look at the transcription from the June 29, 1893, edition of the Ogdensburg Journal:

https://www.genealogy.com/ftm/b/a/r/Cornelius-R-Bartholomew-MT/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-0110.html

It talks about finding the body and the inquest.

P.S. I didn't have any luck finding it in that edition (I probably missed it), but found a report in the June 22, 1893, edition of the Ogdensburg Advance and St, Lawrence Democrat:

Thank you! Excellent source! yes

Very tragic for his widow. She barely could identify him but save his wristband. At least she had some closure for herself and family.

I’m wondering if he was stripped of his clothes and robbed? Good article very informativeyes
