Thank you to the folks working on the US Presidental lines.  Connections to McKinely, Truman and Kennedy have now been found.

That leaves only Ronald Reagan.

Good Work you Guys!

See here for the list.

Thanks to everyone, but, I do fear that with the trimming of the Magna Carta Project and corrections made to Gateway Ancestors, we may lose some connections, but have better data!

Robin,

And so, 4+ years later, we find this statment to be correct.  Better data indeed.  Nice work.

Hi Stormy,

It has been awhile since we have looked at George's connections to the other presidents.  I just updated the attached free space page that gathers their relationships.

According to WikiTree, as Robin predicted, at this time there are even more presidents that are not showing a relationship to George Washington.  Several in fact.

Ironically, this is good news.  It means that the Presidents project has been hard at work updating and sourcing these lines on WikiTree and providing greater accuracy.  They are a great group of volunteers.

If you know of good source material to share with the President's project that can change, update and establish new relationships, I am sure they would be happy to review it.

Thanks for visiting the free space page and be sure to check out the President's project

tHANK YOU FOR RESPONDING.  i APPRECIATE IT.  i JUST SO HAPPEN TO COME ACROSS THE QUESTION AND DID A LITTLE RESEARCH.  THE QUESTION COULD BE A DOUBLE STANDARD AS WASHINGTON NEVER HAS ANY CHILDREN OF HIS OWN.
That Washington never had any children of his own is a point often missed by many new researchers.  Good of you to recognize that.  Evidence based statements of facts are what WikiTree strives to have.

Have you explored a connection to Washington?

This is closely connected with the royal ancestry question.  Statistically, all presidents descended from Charlemagne (which is all of them) are cousins of all the others.  Genealogically, all presidents with traceable Charlemagne lines are traceable cousins of all the other presidents with traceable Charlemagne lines (and you don't need to go all the way back).

With the early presidents, that's pretty much the whole story.  People like Washington, Jefferson and John Quincy Adams don't share immigrants, and they don't show cousinships with presidents who don't show Charlemagne lines.

Recent presidents are a bit different.  Bush has about 10 presidential cousins with an immigrant as common ancestor, and a couple with a common ancestor born in America.

(All in the Wikitreeverse, ignoring any possible divergences from other versions of reality)

Thanks RJ.

A good reminder that WikiTree’s relationship calculator only looks back 30 generations.  Thus there are connections that could be made beyond 30 generations that are not readily calculated on WikiTree.
