Mayflower Treasure Hunt - Find the primary sources or reliable secondary sources for this Mayflower descendant.

Peter Pratt is a fourth generation descendant of Mayflower passenger Degory Priest. His profile currently contains all the information in the Mayflower Families book, but is in need of the primary sources (or good secondary sources) to support the facts.

I've also added the list of sources from the "silver book" Many of them are available on the internet see if you can find them and/or others: citations and urls needed.

You can add them here or directly on his profile.

It's Mayflower Hunting Season, no license necessary.

Probably his son is [[Pratt-10290|Peter Pratt (1716-1780)]].  This is the son that graduated from Yale that the last source refers to.

Reading the Yale source, I think it states the following:

Marriage to Mehatabel Waterus has no date, location, or image - "Connecticut, Vital Records, Prior to 1850," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QPMH-FTRK : 21 September 2019), Peter Pratt, ; citing Marriage, , Compiled by Lucius A. and Lucius B. Barbour, housed at State Library, Hartford, Connecticut; FHL microfilm 007833263.

Family Search Profile has sources for many of the children of this Peter and Mehetabell from 1711-1723.

As a general rule Geni is not a reliable source, sometimes it does have in it's sources interesting things. Most of these are ancestry trees and gedcoms but it did have this https://archive.org/details/griswoldfamilyen02gris/page/128/mode/2up?q=Pratt that mentions his birth.

The other item is fascinating. Mayflower Society didn't mention anything about the Rogerenes or that he was a lawyer. I'll need to read it carefully.

Thank you.
Geni often lists it's sources at the bottom of the profile, that is what one is looking at Geni for information and sources.

Thanks Scott.  I've been reading Pratt's "Prey taken from the strong."
