Who is the father and where did he originate of John Stevenson, 1656-1727 Isle of Wight, Virginia, USA?

Question

I am a direct descendant of John Stevenson, Isle of Wight, Virginia, USA. The information of his father, supposedly another John Stevenson on both Wikitree and Ancestry as originating from Glasgow, Scotland is erroneous and without proof on both these sites.

My haplogroup per FTDNA is I-M253- FT105120 and my Gedmatch kit number is EM5865720. I would welcome any help on solving this question. Additionally I have an extensive developed Stevenson/ Stephenson tree on Ancestry from John Stevenson in Virginia through his descendants in the north and South Carolina, Georgia, Texas and beyond that I am willing to collaborate with others who trace their origins to JS (1565-1727).
