Recommendations for validating records for individuals born befor 1850

I am importing a GEDCOM I generated from Family Search. I am finding some individuals prior to 1850, specifically before 1800 have conflicting records. In one case, the individual has 2 sets of parents and 2 different spouses with same name and marriage date. Most individuals are US born in New England, but there are some born in Canada as well. I am looking for recommendations on what tools you may use to find, verify, and validate individuals via records for from this era. Here is a source for the birth of an Elizabeth Belknap to William Belknap and Anna Burke, the first set of parents on the FS profile.  I think you need something more to conclude she's the same person as Mrs Webber.  Even a child with middle name Burke would be a clue.

Edit to add:  This Elizabeth was born in Wales, Massachusetts, which is the town next to Holland, where Elizabeth and Rinaldo married.

In the case of Elizabeth (Belnap) Webber, her husband seems to be duplicated on FamilySearch.  It would be nice to see that corrected but it's not really a problem for WikiTree.  If I read the FS profile correctly, the second set of parents (Joseph and Esther) don't make much sense since they married five years after Elizabeth's birth.  None of the sources on Elizabeth's FS profile relate to her birth or parents.

As for records, you are on the right track with the marriage record you found for Elizabeth and Rinaldo.  Sources, the nearer to contemporary accounts and original records the better, are the key to resolving conflicting information.  Profiles and trees on other platforms (and on WikiTree) are only as good as the sources they cite.  I would leave parents off WikiTree rather than connect unproven ones claimed elsewhere.  Otherwise, we only help perpetuate internet genealogy myths and errors.
