My great grandmother was Isabelle Margaret Toomey (1870-1902), according to a family Bible. She married, had several children and died, in India.
I am trying to find official records of her birth (in Ireland perhaps), and marriage and of the birth of her first son Denis, in Lonavla, India. I do have records of later events in her short life.
Any ideas would be most welcome! My research notes show some avenues I'm pursuing. A recent contact with a cousin has come up with possible names for her parents, who I have located in Ireland - but no birth record for her.
If any TOOMEY in India researcher is interested, I am compiling a spreadsheet of Toomey records from FIBIS (Families in British India).
