How to cite Schedules 2-9 of 1871 Canada census

I got working on Thomas Stewardson's entries in the 1871 Canada census. I'm looking for guidance on citing Schedules 2-9. I noticed https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Census_of_Canada_1871 but it doesn't seem complete and hasn't been updated in quite a while.

I'm wondering about linking to the images, but the only option seems to be through the defunct Collections Canada site, e.g., https://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/microform-digitization/006003-119.01-e.php?&q2=26&q3=2052&interval=50&sk=0&tt=685&sqn=1

Archives Canada changed their system a while back, so old links no longer worked.  But the data is all still available, one has to redo the search to find the newest link.

I'm confused. The Archives Canada page for the 1871 census indicates that Schedules 2-9 aren't searchable through the website:

Only Schedule 1 is searchable in the database. The other schedules can be viewed through the Microform Digitization tool.

It seems like the only option for Schedules 2-9 is to use the old side with old links. Have I missed something?

I don't know anything about these schedules but it looks like something you need to go and see in person, based on this page:

https://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/census/1871/Pages/1871-Census-Schedules.aspx

You could contact Library and Archives Canada for more details.

Hi Tim,

I created this page with Canada citation examples. Maybe that will provide you with what you are looking for.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Canada_Project_Source_Citations

You can search for the 1871 census records here:

https://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/census/1871/Pages/1871.aspx

Hope that helps.

:jaw drops: This page is amazing! It will save me so much time. Thank you.
Thanks, Katherine! Glad it is helpful.
Yes, your page is helpful in many respects, Peggy, but it doesn't indicate how to cite Schedules 2-9. That's what I'm struggling with. Do you have guidance on that part of it?
I've never created a citation for Schedules 2-9 so I don't have any tips. Can you adapt the LAC census citation?

The Template mechanism that was described in the Census_of_Canada_1871 page should NOT be used. The Space page was just updated to remove the description on how to use it.

Thanks for clearing that part up for me.
