Hi all : ) I'm from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, 71 yrs old, Vietnam Veteran ( USCG ) and a retired painting contractor; I've been researching Hallett sinceI was 27, well before computers or cell phones! lol Now I'm glad they exist, as we can find things which would be impossible or cost prohibitive to find before : ) **my current interest is the Hallett/Halyday connection and the preponderance of the evidence certainly suggest William Hallett was the first to adopt the Hallett name in Symondsbury, Dorset where previously the Halyday/Halliday name was used going back variously through Dorset, Somerset, Yorkshire and Kent~~love the mystery~never ends : ) cheers to all and blessings~~ Glenn Hallett
