When printing or forwarding a family tree - if there was a jail term or a charge of a serious offence - do you omit that info?

Depends on how recent.  I usually include everything on a profile.  I've sometimes wondered, when adding clippings to profiles on my Ancestry tree, whether close relatives of some of the people might mind the unflattering details, but so far I haven't had any feedback.

I wouldn't feel right about posting something to my (public) tree, then sending an edited version to a relative of the person negatively portrayed.

If you have concerns, maybe you should discuss the details with the people you're sending information to.

Edit was minor clarification.

I would unless it is 100+ years ago.
