Have hit a brick wall with Ernest Croft. He disappeared from Everett WA in 1936

In 1936 My great grandmother died of cancer in Everett, Snohomish Co., WA. and that is where my gr grandfather seems to have fallen off the planet. i can find NOTHING of him from 1936 to present. its terribly frustrating.

what info i do have is the 1921 Census of Canada shows him as born in 1885 in England and that his parents were English= at that time he & my gr mother had 3 children & they were living in Kootenay West, BC, CAN... it also shows his immigration was 1906

His wedding records indicate he was born in 1886 in England & his father was Willoughby Croft (English) & his mothers maiden name seems be Horton.

He married Bridget Bennett in 1912 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, CAN

In 1922 he come to Blaine WA w/wife & 3 children- the Washington US Departing/Arriving lists show his birthdate ia 1885 and lists His Birthplace & that of his father Willoughby as born in County Meath, Navan, Ireland.

he apparently went back to BC because of work but later he is showing residence in Everett, Snohmish Co., Washington up until his wife Bridgets' death in 1936 (in Everett & she's buried there)

after her death I find absolutely NOTHING about him no indication of what happened. the children stayed in Washington

i really need some guidance & ideas

thank you rj

Please edit the question and expand WA to Washington, as it isn't Western Australia (also WA).
Good point, that had me flummoxed too.

You probably already have this:

Death Record of Bridget M. Croft, Department of Health, Death Certificates, July 1, 1907 - December 31, 1995, Washington State Archives, Digital Archives, http://digitalarchives.wa.gov, [date accessed]. https://www.digitalarchives.wa.gov/Record/View/019FC9148DED7E6A506E06F3872DA4AA

This could be your Ernest Croft: " A Young Scapegrace" The Seattle Post-intelligencer, Volume XVIII, Number 176, 3 November 1890  https://washingtondigitalnewspapers.org/?a=d&d=SEATPINT18901103.1.5&srpos=1&e=-------en-20--1--txt-txIN-%22Ernest+Croft%22------

There's an Ernest Craft in Spokane, Washington in 1938 and 1940: "Ballot on War Causes Debate" Spokane Chronicle, Spokane, Washington, 19 Oct 1938, page 3; "Spokane, Washington, City Directory, 1940" Ancestry.com. U.S., City Directories, 1822-1995 [database on-line]. Yes i do have the death record for Bridget. & just recently found her gravesite. i will be going there in the spring i hope & arranging for a headstone

Unfortunately this is Not our Ernest. our Ernest was entered the US the first time in 1921-1922 already married with 3 children (including my grandfather)

I have no idea on the Ernest in Spokane. that i will have to followup on

thank you so much

i have seen that record. unfortunately, i have seen nothing to tie That Ernest to our Ernest.

the records of Willoughby Croft have 2 different wives but nothing to directly tie him to our Willoughby. & and am not seeing Ernest's listed siblings show him as a sibling in their records. the birthdate for the Ernest who died in 1986 doesnt match with our records and have asked for death records for him to no avail. he doesnt show up in the records,

In the past i was of the belief that Ernest G Croft and our Ernest are not the same person. sadly i have found no document that directly tie them together.

am still hunting
