bulk change surnames to unknown

Question

Can editbot be used to change miscellaneous surnames to unknown per wikitree standards ?

For example, you can type the following quotes in the wikitree surname box and it will show you long list of profiles with the surname of "xxx" and "---".

If they are labelled correctly, then the unknown project will work on these. Thanks

It's a good idea, N. But unfortunately EditBot cannot change any fields.

The Unknowns project works on these anyway. The team has direct links to the various Unknown aliases on their process page. We don't want to change them to the standard Unknown until the research has been done to verify that they can't be identified.
