On NaN undefined NaN Susan Ellen Smith wrote on King-43612:

His parents are a wall for me. He was born in Delaware, and the first census record does not list parents that I can see. Can anyone help?

Do you think that he could be the James A. King listed in the family of Fargar Ryans or Ryant in the 1860 U.S. Census of Christina Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware?  He is listed with a number of apparently brothers and sisters, one of whom is named Smyley (age 7).

There is a Smiley Wright King, the son of William and Elizabeth King, born on March 7, 1843, and baptized on March 26, 1843, in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware in the Delaware, U.S. Baptisms database on www.ancestry.com.

So, do you think William and Elizabeth King are the parents of James A. ?

       I am not certain.  He's got the right name and the right age and is in the right place and, assuming that he is the individual in the U.S. Census record, the brother's name (which is uncommon) would tie him to William and Elizabeth, but his name is just common enough that you'd want to do some more looking at the family.
