Hello WikiTreers,

With RootsTech happening this weekend, there are going to be a lot of genealogists meeting our Team and some of our awesome members and then coming to sign up and get going on their part of our big tree. Of course they are going to have some questions, and would appreciate a helping hand to get started. This is where the Mentors project steps in and offers one-on-one help and friendly guidance.

Right now the Mentors Project is looking for Introduction Level and Intermediate Level mentors to follow up with new members and make sure they have helpful information, and to answer general WikiTree questions. The time committment varies. Project leaders have told me that most new members have their questions answered in two or three emails, and from experience I know that the follow-up tasks can be done in less than an hour.

If you enjoy answering questions in G2G, or saying hello to new members, please join the Mentors! Mags is away at RootsTech this weekend (lucky duck), so if you'd like to join, please contact Irene or me. Thanks!
