No baptism of Robert Chapman between 1560 and 1580, recorded on fmp for within 5 miles of Hull. Also checked first name Robertus and first name and surname variants. Also searched all first names of Robertus and all surnames of Chapman.
There is a marriage in 1576 in Beverley of a Robertus Chapman to a Margareta Mowdie who could be this Robert's parents and the death of an infant Robertus Chapman in 1572 Beverley so might have been an earlier child of the father Robertus.
In Hull there is a baptism of a Robert Chapman in 1576 but his father is a Thomas.
The record might be in the registers still but missed by the transcriber or recorded in an unusual place or way, you would need someone who reads Latin to go though the register to rule that out. But as there will soon be a research notes section it will mean people can re-run these searches in the future to see if anything has changed.
