Brick Wall help with Lydia Ann Gray and Jeanne (Gray) Cargill pls.?

There are over a 1000 sources that show Lydia Ann Gray 1578-1635,  as the daughter of  Patrick Gray 6th Lord Gray and his 2nd wife Mary Stewart but NONE are legit. No reliable research proves this fact. I am having the same issue proving Jeanne (Gray) Cargill 1594-1657 is Lydia's daughter. So my tree shows these relationships lead to Robert Stewart son of James V but knowing this is incorrect, I've hit the wall with Jeanne Gray's parents. All sources on ancestry and wiki are incorrect and need to be established. Thanks for your help.

Scotlands People are the records of Scotland online.

The Peerage of Scotland, I just had a quick look and they were not noted there however if they were illegitamate they would probably not be shown.

You might want to look for UK records about Patrick 6th lord of gray

Good luck in your venture.
