Finding a Pennsylvania death 1900-1906 online?

My great grandfather died in Pa. between 1900 and 1906. I searched the Pa. death record index from 1906 - 1910 (1900-1905 not available online) and he's not listed. He is NOT in the 1910 census but is in the 1900 census so I assume he died prior to 1906.

What other online databases can I search for a record of his death?

Note. There is an erroneous Henry Cook attached to him in the familysearch database. He was born in Schuylkill, Pa NOT Plymouth, Pa.

Thanks

edit.

I forgot to mention there is a grave for Henry Cook I found on Billiongraves but there is no date on the grave stone? My Henry Cook was born in Pa and this one appears to be a native of Ireland.

Would you have a connection to the Francis Cooke born in England who came over on the Mayflower?
not yet

maybe when I get deeper into my ancestors
If my memory serves (it may not!), Pennsylvania initiated state death certificates in 1906. Before that there are records for some cities and counties, but nothing statewide.
Correct. In my original post I mentioned this.

I'm hoping there is an online alternative. It's impossible for me to go to the county courthouse in-person.

Thanks but marriage certs for his three kids say he was born in Schukyll, PA not Plymouth, Pa
Errors happen in records. The POB may be wrong in the death record.
(It could be the informant did not know where he was born)
That's true. His age and marital status match. Plymouth is not far from his residence in NEPA so this could indeed be him. Thanks

Not him. thanks anyway.

I pretty certain he died before 1906 because his widow is in the 1910 and 1920 census
