Question

How does one delete/hide a posted 'answer' to an already posted 'question' in G2G ?

Below your answer, there are three 'buttons' (they just look like text links): 'edit', 'hide', 'comment'.  Click 'hide'.

After you've hidden the answer by clicking 'hide', the 'hide' changes to 'reshow'.  You can click that to reshow it.  If someone else has hidden your answer - maybe it was flagged by two people or admin/moderators hid it because you broke the rules - there's nothing you can do, except maybe appeal to admin.

Ian: Hello. I apologise for not previously acknowledging your later comments.

My reason for posting this question was because I had, earlier, posted another question - which was answered, but when I returned to acknowledge that answer it (the answer) had disappeared !

Thus the current question, as I had hoped that I could reverse the 'disappearance'.

I appreciate that I can hide/reshow my own input - but not others' inputs. Or have I got this wrong ?

Hopefully this extra detail will help to explain my later posting of a further (but different) question - only to see someone 'flag' and 'close' that later (but different) question as being a 'duplicate' !

If you're confirming that you cannot re-show/unhide another person's posts... Well, right.  You cannot do that.

Edited to add: I think a copy of the answer was probably sent to you in a notification email (if you need to read the answer).
