New member introducing myself

Question

Hello, my name is Victoria Elizabeth Ayres (Barnes). My father, Howard Wilson Barnes, just passed last year and his death has left so many open gaps in family ie where they are, are they still alive? I am trying to find my brother, Scott Charles Barnes to see if he has any information but I can't seem to find him either. He would be about 65.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Victoria, and welcome to WikiTree.

The best way to start finding the family to fill the gaps is to start building your tree with what you do know. Begin with yourself, add birth date & place (this will be private). Then add your parents and siblings with as much information as you have. Go on to grandparents, being sure to add sources to verify what you do know.

Building out the branches also helps, add aunts and uncles.
