How do you create a catagory?

I would like to create a catagory for several profiles that are associated with St. Bartholomew's Church in Colne, ie: [[Rushton-1005|William Rushton (bef.1748-abt.1826)]] and [[Hartley-5355|Peggy Hartley (abt.1758-1800)]] were married at St. Bartholomew's Church, Colne, Lancashire, England.  Quite a few of the individuals in my tree are associated with this parish/place.

There is one for St. Bartholomews Churchyard, Colne, Lancashire but it's not appropriate for profiles of people who were christened and married there because it implies they're buried in the churchyard.  Maybe "churchyard" was a typo. St. Bartholomew's Church still exists in Colne, Lancashsire.

People WERE buried in the Churchyard.  It's what cemeteries were before there were cemeteries.
The world of Wikitree categories is somewhat Kafkaesque and I'd steer clear. However, your particular category already exists https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Saint_Bartholomew_Church%2C_Colne%2C_Lancashire
If you add England and Categorisation as tags perhaps the right people to answer will see your question.
I'm aware of that, that's why I requested a catagory for St. Bartholomew's Church, Colne, Lancashire so I could add profiles of people who were christened and married there.
I think this catagory should be fine tuned or reformatted  to St. Bartholomew's Church, Colne, Lancashire as it is elsewhere on Google maps and Wikipedia.  Pls. see Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Bartholomew%27s_Church,_Colne

I couldn't find it in it's current format.  Just my humble opinion.
Thank you Michael.  I think it should be formatted better as St. Bartholomew's Church, Colne, Lancashire.  This is how it appears in Wikipedia and Google maps:

You can always request that a category (note spelling) be made:

The Churchyard, as you say, is for the cemetery. The church itself needs to wait. A proposal for properly categorizing them will be forthcoming in the near future.
