George Washington Gibbs was married twice but it appears no children. The obit mentions no children. He married a Deborah Ann (Babcock) Gibbs (abt. 1837 - abt. 1874) who was his mother Amy (Babcock) Gibbs (1808 - 1862)1st cousin once removed. Is that possible? I guess it makes them 2nd cousins. Then when she passed he remarried a Caroline P (Honsinger) Gibbs (1853 - abt. 1921) and she appears to be his 7th cousin
I’m curious if any children by him?
Note: He and his two brothers John and James served in the civil war on the union side from New York
Interesting he has nephews LNAB “Norton” mentioned in the Will in the news clip. I think the Norton name is on the wife’s side of family. Who were the “Norton” nephews? Albert and George Norton?
