John Wheeler, issues merging his wives

Question

Opening this to the forum for any suggestions to resolve the differences before a merge can be completed. 

The differences include reliable sources for the Causine-12 profile, and her father, Nicolas Causine, as well as dates and places.

On 21 May 2021 Donna (Stephens) Harris wrote on Wheeler-1667:

A merge was proposed on May 10 for the two wives of Wheeler-1667|John Wheeler, specifically: Unknown-485195, Mary Unknown Wheeler, and Causine-12, Mary Causine. However reliable sources for Mary Causine are lacking, according to the pre-1700 standards. The merge is currently set as an unmerged match until the differences can be resolved.

You have probably reviewed the Research Notes section on Unknown-485195, where it states that there is no documentation for the name of Mary Causine.  Since Unknown-485195 is PPP, the merge can only be done into that profile unless the Project removes it before the merge.  The project may be waiting for the other PM to see if he can provide some 'reliable sources' since those that are on the other profile are not valid for Pre-1700 profiles.  If nothing is provided, I am sure the project will re-propose the merge into the Unknown profile.

A new comment was left by Liz on the Causine-12, so hopefully, the PM will respond.

Thank you for your comment, Linda. I've been discussing this privately with the other PM since he created Casine-12 and have sent him the information from my research, but he insists that his sources are ok to use, that he's right and she should be Causine. I've done extensive research on Causine too.

Unfortunately, the sources on his profile are not considered reliable for Pre-1700.

Exactly, and I've told him that, but he thinks he knows better. I'm considering my options now.
